Airspace Lesson

Step into a fully interactive 3D world of airspace! Fly around, through, and between airspace shelves while learning the essentials of VFR cloud clearance, visibility, and equipment requirements. This isn’t just reading about airspace, it’s experiencing it.

  • More Information

Our Airspace lesson starts with the basics—Class G through Class A—and builds up your knowledge layer by layer. You’ll visually explore how airspace surrounds airports, how they stack vertically, and how they differ across environments.

Click on any airspace class to open a popup showing critical info like visibility minimums, cloud clearance, and equipment requirements for that airspace. You’ll also learn about Mode C veils, VFR corridors, and other key airspace features with engaging visual references—not just charts and acronyms.

This is the first of several upcoming airspace modules. Special Use Airspace, TFRs, and more are on the way to help you master the National Airspace System from the comfort of your screen.

Teardrop Pattern Entry

This pattern entry can twist even the sharpest student’s brain. We’ve turned it into a visual, intuitive, and easy-to-understand lesson with real-time flying perspectives.

  • More Information

The teardrop pattern entry has long confused student pilots. Which way do you turn? When do you descend? What altitude are you supposed to fly? We’ve simplified it all in this immersive 3D training experience.

Instead of deciphering flat textbook diagrams or trying to imagine it while your instructor waves a model airplane midair, you’ll see the maneuver unfold from multiple camera views. Zoom, pan, and rotate your perspective to get perfect situational awareness—before you even touch the controls.

You’ll follow proper radio calls, see how to intercept the downwind, and understand what makes this entry unique. Whether you’re a CFI explaining it or a student trying to grasp it, this lesson finally shows what the teardrop entry is supposed to look like—and how to fly it like a pro.

Go Around Lesson

Practice a standard traffic pattern, then react in real-time when something suddenly blocks your landing. It’s the ultimate chair-flying curveball.

  • More Information

Instructors love throwing go-around scenarios at students mid-approach. Whether it’s a plane on the runway, a rogue deer, or a last-minute ATC callout—how you respond matters.

This lesson simulates that same real-world unpredictability. Start by flying a normal traffic pattern, then respond to an unexpected obstacle and execute a go-around. You’ll practice proper climbout, pattern re-entry, and all the radio calls along the way.

Great for students to build reflexes and radio flow—and for CFIs to demo how staying ahead of the airplane starts with preparation. No whiteboard required.

New Airplane - Pink

We heard your feedback—and we listened. You can now select a brand-new pink and black airplane when flying in Free Mode!

  • More Information

Our original blue and orange aircraft helped launch Pilot Dimension—but we know flying isn’t one-color-fits-all. Many of you asked for variety, and we’re excited to deliver.

The new pink and black airplane is now live in Free Mode, offering a fresh look for your pattern practice, visual maneuvers, or just buzzing around the environment in style. While lessons remain coded to the original blue aircraft for now, this update is one of many steps we’re taking to make your experience more personal and fun.

More colors. More customization. More fun. Keep the suggestions coming—we’re building this with you.
